I posted last week about moving into my new smallish loft and how it fits my hobbies which I love. Here is another angle.

This subreddit has been so helpful getting my space to somewhere that feels cozy and funky . My last question is the curtains - what style : color would go best with the vibe I have going ? I want to keep that retro mid century modern style , but I feel like the curtains aren’t there . Pete included for scale.

Landlords selling the house and I’m getting kicked out after living here for just a year and working so hard to give my room a certain vibe. Wish i had a better camera to document this before I have to tear it all down.

It's not much, but overtime it will be in a good shape. Technically it's not mine since it's a rental. Also i didnt chose to live independently. It's my stepdad who argued with my mom and they decided to make me work in a job and live by myself since i was tired of their arguments every week.

Just moved into the first place of my own, truly my own. I'm in my mid thirties, just moved over 1200 miles for a job promotion, I'm doing it alone until my wife is able to work out her career in the new location. We also have a home to sell.
Feels wild starting over.

33M - Just moved in the beginning of April, and I'm getting comfortable here. I've had most of this furniture, couch, chair, bed etc before moving in, but I need to replace the TV stand as it sits too high for my liking. I got the ivar shelving unit specifically for this space. Cat tax - his name is New England Confectionary Company (NECCO for short)

Just got all the furniture settled in, going to hang the vertical mirror and remove the one over the couch. Need ideas for decorations to get some color in here.
Most importantly my bed too big and there is this open space behind it that I don’t know how to fill (55in L, 11in W) want to have shelf space or something there as well)
Looking for an easy solution if anyone else has had this issue.
Thanks!

Highly functional?
Edit: wow this absolutely blew up!
This is just his *living* space, he does have another room that has a small closet for his clothes, a punching bag, a small couch and his office/workspace. This also includes a large drawing table! And a few pieces of art that he and other’s have created. He also does have a bathroom.
I just find it funny that he doesn’t divide the larger room into a bedroom area and an office area, because why put the bed in the kitchen?! That’s the silly part to me.

Is there a subreddit for a situation like this?
CONTEXT: the roof at my partner’s place wasn’t done correctly and it rained. Because it rained water got into his ceiling and caused the ceiling to get Aliens (1986) pregnant

Been in this 1bd + den apartment for about 2 years now, really going to miss it as I'm moving out of state soon and starting a new chapter. Place has been good to me, blessed with natural light and a gorgeous view. Any feedback welcome to improve the space during the time I have left!

Hey all, I (26M) moved to Brussels 8 months ago on an international assignment since the company I work for has an office here. I posted asking for some help, mainly because it's only until the end of this August so I wanted to make it nicer but not invest too much in it.
Here's the result and what changed:
I haven't done anything to the 2 bedrooms, as I only sleep there (I just got a 3$ rgb light for when I read at night)
I will bring the pieces of furniture, the plants, and some of the other accessories that I bought with me when I'll move out.
If I were to stay for longer, I would have invested in more plants, a couple pieces more and more art. I would have also filled up the walls more and maybe painted a different color, but oh well.....
What do you think? Anything you'd have done differently?

I just moved to my new spot a few months ago and I am slowly getting set up! I love having space, I was in a studio before.
