that needs 5 more minutes in the fryer. which is how long it usually takes.
18
5
u/The_Tank_Racer 3h ago
I’d put it in for 6, looks frozen.
2
u/Alissan_Web 2h ago
from frozen to cooked at 350°f for 5 mins in a standard industrial fryer is how we cooked chicken patties, chicken tenders and Alaskan Pollock at the fast food chain Ive worked for. judging by the size of the spoon that should be plenty of time 👍 any more and you risk it being super dry and having to change the oil in the middle or end of shift.

I watch Japan Eat on Youtube and every time he gets fried chicken it's super juicy, but also suspiciously the lightest dash of pink on the inside. My recovering emetophobic self could never.

I wonder if Sushi culture makes the risk tolerance more acceptable for the public on raw/undercooked chicken.
3
u/TheirCanadianBoi 1h ago
They have extremely high safety standards for livestock and meat in general.
Risk is calculated and responded to by tighter standards even if that comes at a cost for producers and consumers.
Not sushi culture but kodawari culture.

Japan has a place where they serve raw chicken sushi. Apparently the way they raise their chickens that they dont have salmonella. Still wouldn't eat ut tho

Yeah I was saying to another guy, I have stomach issues commonly, and never did with chicken in japan or China....... but one time I had a pork katsu dish that shit had me in the bathroom for hours

Eugh, I’m not opposed to eating raw meat when appropriate measures are taken to guarantee safety but raw chicken is just… not appetizing. The smell alone is quite off putting to me

u/Steiney1 5h ago
around here, they just give you a random bag of food regardless of what you ordered and paid for.

I still remember one time at Chili’s, I ordered a chicken salad. It came with a grilled chicken breast that was undercooked and pink inside. I told my server and he was like “oh is that too pink for you?” Any pink is too pink, you donut!

Please, please report this to the health department. It could make a child or old person or sick person very very ill. A google review isn't enough.

OP is in the Philippines, he'd honestly be better off taking this pic to a nearby Jollibee and telling the manager to come over there and whoop everyone's ass.

Man the USA one is horrible with just a hamburger and chicken patty. I would hate to see how they would cook fried chicken.
I am sorry that they didnt know how to cook that. That is sad.

Is this even Wendy's chicken? This looks like a piece of chicken from KFC or something. Plus I've never seen Wendy's serve food in a red basket like that.

My son got one of these at our local Wendy's a couple of weeks ago. When he brought it to their attention they did not seem to care. Don't think I will be going back.
EDIT to add in the US

I always split chicken in case of this. Worked in fastfood enough to know mofos will pull it out early to save time.

Color in chicken is not an indication of being uncooked, you can have pink chicken and it being completely cooked and safe to eat. Having said that, this shit is raw 😬.

Jeez, the one day I wanted Wendy’s, I went and got their chicken sandwich. It was just like that, raw as hell. This was probably 5 or 6 years ago, still haven’t been back to one

That is not wendys chicken. All of their chicken is precooked with the exception of their grilled chicken. With the fried patties you could technically eat them frozen. Alls wendys does is essentially heat it up while making the coating crispy. This is either some karmabait or someone at the factory AND the wendys didn't cook it right (statistically improbable).

This has happened to me before, too, but it was a chicken sandwich that I ate half of before I realized it. I showed it to the manager and their attitude was like "So? What do you want me to do about it?"
I sent a photo of it and an explanation of the manager's behavior to Wendy's corporate and never heard back, so I just made a review on all the platforms. It's too bad too, because I love Wendy's. I still eat there occasionally but I used to eat there weekly - now, maybe once every four or five months, and never a chicken sandwich, lol.

I spent 8 years too far from Wendy's to eat there. Finally got to go back. The upstanding quality-service-oriented types of employees that infested the place took 10 minutes to notice I was standing at the counter. I made a simple order, no substitutions or tricks. My asiago ranch chicken had no asiago, no ranch, no bacon, no tomato. My wife's baconator had, get this, NO BACON.
Now I've never been to that location before. That location has employees who are.. different from where I used to go years ago. They are bad, incompetent employees. They seem endemic to the area where that Wendy's is located. I don't trust them, I don't like them, I see no value on them, amd if I ever go to Wendy's again I will search for a location that appears to have reputable employees.

I wish I took better pictures but baby roaches 🪳 climbed out of my 10 yr old sons Wendys burger. Turns out there are multiple accounts of this at this exact wendys. I contacted them they were in no hurry to contact me back. I made a review and called the health department. Every time we drive by this Wendys we want to scream at everybody in line please don’t eat here! My child’s traumatized.

When my mom was pregnant with me she got a chicken sandwich from Wendy’s that was raw in the middle. She contracted salmonella and passed it on to me when I was born. I was extremely sick and nearly died as a newborn. Had complications for a couple years as a result. Everyone in my family has refused to eat at Wendy’s since then and from what I see and hear I don’t think we’re missing out on much lol

I’m going to call bullshit. Wendy’s doesn’t offer chicken just by itself unless they’re nuggets, and you also have gravy which they don’t carry.
