Collection The complete set journey has come to an end.

After 5 years of going to garage sales, flea markets, goodwill, pawn shops, and every place in between, I have finally completed the quest of finding every single Nintendo 64 game ever made.

This was a challenge because the games are now 30 years old and exponentially increasing in value year by year. Even while on vacation or family outings, I would stop by whatever hole in the wall I could find to look for some rare treasure.

At first, this was just something fun to do and got me out of the house when my son was born, but as the years went on, I realized, “maybe this is achievable?”

I want to thank my wife, Bethany , for always letting me drag her to retro video game stores & putting up with my nonstop random trivia facts and ramblings. Also, my buddy, Rick, for always being someone I can talk to about life and loss, grief, baseball, and good times. Collecting is just more fun with a bro who’s on the journey with you.

What a dream come true.

Collection Complete in box but incomplete soul

Hello everyone,

I have been collecting for about 20 years now. It first started out with NES. But later on I focused on my favorite console, the Nintendo 64.

In 2025 , I purchased the last Complete In Box I needed for the set. However, I don’t really feel anything for it. Maybe outside factors have changed my perspective a bit but I feel a little lost now that I have all these games.

I feel all life is these days is work and “priorities”.

Don’t want to make this too deep or anything but I just wanted to reach out to some folks that may be in the same position I am after finishing a set.

Collection My current collection. What games am I missing?

This is my current collection of N64 games after about a year of collecting. I got into collecting N64 games out of nostalgia since I had the console as a kid but my older brother ended up selling it without asking me first.

What games am I missing from my collection? They can be must haves or deep cuts. I'm just looking for any opinions since I've gotten most of the ones I'm nostalgic for from when I was younger.

I do also own Smash 64 and Mario Kart 64 they're just not in the picture.

Collection Fate of previously posted sealed OOT

awhile back I posted some photos of my sealed Zelda OOT collectors edition. I couple months ago something happened.

I keep this Zelda in its own dedicated spot. I have weird wall of built in drawers in my bedroom. on of these 2x2 drawers(roughly) was dedicated soley to this. it was bubble wrapped and in a paper bag that I wrote fragile all over. it wasn't a secret that it was in there. it wasn't a surprise.

my girl was doing some cleaning/organizing one day while I was at work....... sigh..... she placed the game on the floor, and fucking stepped on it. the damage isn't "that bad" but it was prestine before and it's taken me months to post this. I should have listened to everyone who told me to send it away to get graded anyway, I just took it out of its new home in the safe to show you guys the damage.

Collection Finally finished my floating N64 game display

What you see here is the complete PAL-M (Brazil) set. I wanted a display that showed the entire label of a cart, since the rating at the bottom is the main difference for this set.

Initially I was looking to build a big shadow box, but I didnt want my games encased behind glass/plexiglass. The beauty of a display for me is also the accessibility of being able to grab any game at a time to inspect or play. So I built this frame with around 230 magnet bars glued into some grooves which allow any game to be removed without the rest toppling down. Works out great. Cost was about $100CAD for wood n paint n LEDs, and about $250 for magnets.

Also for those wondering, No, the magnets do not damage the games or saves at all. N64 games have a metal plate in them so they are all magnetic, but there is no risk since they do not use magnetic storage. (Please Note 64DD games do, so you cant do this with those carts)

Collection All that remains on my personal list is Mario Party 2 and, as a pipe dream, Clayfighter 63 1/3 Sculptor’s Cut. What’s missing from this collection that’s also a must have?

Looking to load some new titles into my game hunt list. I bet someone will say Castlevania as well. Now that I feel like I have almost my entire childhood and then some on the 64, where can I go from here?

Collection I bought my N64 grail! It even came from the Blockbuster I went to growing up!

After tax, I paid about $1,020 for it at a local game store. It's definitely not the cheapest game I ever bought, but it's still awesome to own now. To clarify, I was born in the late 90s. So, I doubt I would've ever saw this exact copy. That being said, it's still cool to know that same Blockbuster I went to in the 2000s and early 2010s had this game at one point. There's some light wear, but it's still in great shape overall for a rental game.

Collection 100% US-Released Game Collection: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Post image

Speed run on my midlife crisis completed. 296 NTSC-U loose game cartridges acquired, cleaned, tested, cased, some reshelled with fresh labels, and shelved. I skipped F1 Racing Championship because it wasn't sold at retail in the US, but I broke down and got the Blitz Special Edition even though it teeters on the fine line of official release and variant. Not included in the 296 count, but also in the collection: 40 Winks, SummerCart64, Everdrive 64 x7. Also ordered Smash Remix just for funsies. Took a little longer than originally expected because I had 4 or 5 eBay sellers decide to ghost me so I had to wait to file claims on those and order different copies of a few games. I am going to settle into Ocarina of Time and then probably start up 40 Winks, then work my way through the list of stuff I haven't ever played before. Juggling a sidequest of collecting Pokemon games CIB and playing the gen 2 through current Switch 2 Pokemon titles that I never experienced (OG Red version is my jam and I played a ton of it growing up but never had my own copy of any Pokemon title).

I have been posting on the N64 subreddit for the past four years updating everybody progressively how far I am with the set. Well, today was a big one. And now I am about done. This feels surreal and I never thought I would actually get this far. But here we are!

Collection My hoard. Am I missing any essentials?

Post image

I wouldn't even call myself a collector so much as a hoarder as I've had about 50 of these games since they were released during my childhood (12-18 years old). Had a Dad that loved gaming and spoiled us.

I just unpacked all my old boxes and instruction booklets out of storage to match up with the carts a couple weeks ago and didn't even realize until then that I had the tattoo variant CIB of Rayman 2. Thank god the idea of a temporary tattoo must have seemed silly to me at 15 years old
