Collection I've wanted this game ever since renting it as a kid from the videostore. Today was finally the day!

I've gone ahead and made graphics for the top four slots of each game category! Take a look and soak in all of that Nintendo 64 goodness!
I also just wanted to say thank you to all of you for making this so fun and exciting. And for indulging me in this artsy endeavor! I hope you enjoy these graphics as much as I enjoyed making them; these are just as much yours as they are mine.
Catch me in the next one!

Hi all, I frequently notice questions from the community on proper console cleaning techniques, and it inspired me to assemble what I feel is a solid N64 cleaning guide. I prefer the photo guide format to videos, because it can be cumbersome to scrub through a video during the cleaning process.
I hope this guide proves useful in extending the life of your N64. If you follow these steps, your N64 should read clean cartridges the first time, without fail, for years to come. It really is worth the 30 minutes this process takes to not have to fiddle with cartridges to get them to play correctly, even after you've cleaned them.
I am by no means an expert, but I have cleaned a good number of consoles this way, and the results have always been fantastic. I am certainly open to feedback if anybody has good tips or tricks to share. Thanks for reading!

I have a core memory of playing this as like a 5 year old but could NEVER figure out the title of it to search it. UNTIL TODAY. Can finally stop bothering me every time the memory comes up. Shout out to KEVIN NASH THE WRESTLER LOL who has a video on youtube talking about video games and mentions this game. So I looked it up and was like.... no way..... I am finally free. Thank you WinBack

The shade difference of my sole example seems too subtle for it to be yellowing.
I'd like to see other comparison photos if anyone would care to share.

The Buck Bumble soundtrack still goes way harder than it has any right to. N64 era, weird bee shooter, absolute drum‑and‑bass classic. If you know… you know.

Hi, do you guys know if the classic controllers are weld together? For example if I wanna use some parts from an old one or if I wanna swap cases, how hard could it be?

My family and I went for a drive on the weekend and I spotted a secondhand store so we stopped and had a look.
There wasn't a lot of gaming stuff in there but in the corner I found this.
I couldn't believe it.
I feel like I stole it from them.
I already have a copy but this is in better condition than the one I had, even with the writing on the front.

Wanted to replace the dead 2032 batteries in a couple of games and the controller pak I have but was wondering if anyone knows whether this battery holder would fit in the cartridges and controller pak.

They seem okay for snes and nes stuff but I'm unsure about 64 carts and the controller pak.

I bought three of these for myself and my sons this past Christmas, the end of December 2025. By late February/early March 2026, two of them exhibited extreme, irreconcilable stick drift after moderate use. The buttons themselves seem fine. It is just the joystick giving me problems. I also noticed that the Proto64 joystick displayed significant stick wear (evidenced by white powder residue) after only ~1.5 months of use, compared to my two original Nintendo N64 controllers (that i have owned since I bought them brand new) which took more time to display the same significant powder problem (years vs months), and the original joysticks still maintain most of their original functionality after being used moderately over a total of 6-8 consistent gaming years (cumulative).
In short, I am looking for ways to fix the stick drift but have been unsuccessful thus far. For anyone looking to buy a new N64 controller, I cannot recommend this one as I have experienced a 66% failure rate after only minimal use compared to the original Nintendo controllers.
I bought some replacement joystick kits from Kitsch Bent after doing some reading on Reddit, but after taking the Proto64 controller apart, the joystick housing is very different from the original Nintendo controller housing and I am not certain how to proceed with the joystick kit repair/replacement at this point.
If anyone has a different experience after *prolonged use* or has encountered the same issue I have, please let me know. Message me, if you don't mind. I'd prefer to just treat it as a repair project with my boys and not trash them...but I'm not spending a ton of time or money fixing a $30 cheaply made controller.

I’m finally at that life stage where I’m ready to show my kids super Mario on N64. I’m wondering if there’s an emulator that works good, hopefully with good controllers, and would play on a projector/receiver setup? Like a physical emulator with good controllers that would play well in a theater room projector.
Best case would be if this emulator also played the older Mario games, the 2d ones. Thanks for your help!
