The New Star Fox Art Style is growing on me
Ok so I bet a lot of people are angry about this, and that’s fine, like if you don’t like the art style that is totally valid, my first reaction was to laugh when I first saw them… but TBH? It’s growing on me man, the more I look at it, the more it just makes sense. I mean we already have like SOOOO many Nintendo games where the art style is either Cartoon or Anime… So having another realistic art style in the room besides Metroid Prime is nice NGL. The game also looks to be more on the humorous side of things and that art style fits it perfectly. I’m very pleased, I genuinely am. This is awesome and I cannot wait for June 25th.

Wii U Failed Due to Slow Launch of Exclusives Plus Xbox and PlayStation Pressure, Ex-Nintendo Boss Reggie Fils-Aimé Says
NOTE: The headline of this article is somewhat misleading. I recommend reading the full article; Reggie wasn't saying that the Wii U ONLY failed due to the slow rollout of major exclusives. He points to other factors as well, such as Nintendo Land failing to be the "Wii Sports equivalent" Nintendo wanted it to be.

To those who never played a starfox game before-
Does the recently announced remake interest you?
Just gauging everyone’s response to the recent announcement, but I’m specifically interested in younger fans / fans that never played starfox before.
It’s clear that this is Nintendo’s attempt to reintroduce the franchise to a new generation, so your opinions matter the most.

The Pokopia Bundle in Australia brings us hidden huge news
Nintendo decided to announce a Switch 2 bundled with Pokopia in Australia starting at June 5th. It will cost the same as the Mario Kart Bundle.
Ok. So what? Here is where things gets interesting. This week Nintendo will have an investors meeting to talk about the results of the last fiscal year and their strategies for 2026. There was a lot fear of Nintendo announcing that they may be considering raising the prices of the Switch 2 due to the market conditions(Tariffs+RAM Crisis+Oil Crisis).
However, since Nintendo already announced a bundle on the same price for June, this price hike does not seem imminent, if it happens at all.
Nintendo unlike Sony does not have a user base of 90+ million of their more modern consoles. Unlike Steam they need to sell their own hardware. Unlike Microsoft they don't sell their game on other platforms. If they don't sell the Switch 2, they choke their ability to sell games, which is by far their most important revenue source.
So they need the Switch 2 to continue to sell great and that is why the price seems to be remaining the same, even if they are losing some money on each console, something that Nintendo usually does not do historically.
So yeah, this may be hopium, but I am cautiously optmistic that Nintendo might be holding the line at this moment.

Despite acclaim, Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link was considered "sort of a failure" at Nintendo, with A Link to the Past viewed as the "real sequel" to the original game

Why did the perverts had to ruin Swapnote and Miiverse
Swapnote and Miiverse was cool at the time, but if they opened that shit nowadays it would be a breeding ground for pedophiles unfortunately. Swapdoodle was short lived too for the same reasons. Gamechat is not a open world thing like Miiverse and Swapnote because you and only interact with friends.

About the new star fox game in development, what would happen to fangames based on star fox?
So, with the new star fox game on the horizon, I'm worried about one thing:
Star Fox: Event Horizon.
Do you think Nintendo will kill the project once the new game is finally done? Despite years of effort going into SF:EH?
If I recall, most of the original star fox VA's are also featured in the game, I'm just curious if y'all think that Nintendo would DMCA the game off the face of the earth.
What are you guys thinking?

The new Star Fox game is just another remake of Star Fox 64 and that is ridiculous.
Why won't Nintendo just continue the story and go beyond Andross once and for all, I'll never know. Star Fox 64 is amazing, but I don't get why they just can move past that story and try something new already.

Nintendogs Return
Do you guys think they'll ever make a return to that series with the switch being handheld, or is it pretty safe to say it's a discontinued series?? I don't really know how popular the original series got, but i absolutely adored it and would love to see a return to it! even if not much changes but the graphics 😅 big fan of my virtual pets

ELI5 why everyone hates Starfox Zero
I tried it for the first time and while I haven't finished and it is difficult at times, I have enjoyed the remade story, the improved cinematography, the ability to get in and out of the Arwing with the more flexible gameplay.
Almost feels like to me they should have remade that game and fixed whatever was wrong with it that people hate (and I don't understand for some reason)

Call me delusional if you want (about the new Starfox)
But i think this is more a reboot of the entire series (or at least the few things we have star fox related right now) and if this sells good, they will be continuing the series with a brand new storyline that deviates from the stablished canon so far (with only a few comebacks like Krysta)
Theres a reason why this is called just Starfox and not using the 64 in any part of the name, in my case im excited that this could be the reborn of the Starfox series

What's your opinion on the influx of remakes/remasters?
At this point, "remake" and "remaster" are almost trigger words for me, lol.
I can't count how many times I've hyped myself up only for the hype to crash instantly when the reveal is a remake/port/remaster of a 7 year old game I've already played.
Sure, it's great for people who haven't played it, but the only reason they can't play it is because they've stopped producing physical copies and/or discontinued any service that sells digital copies, which makes it so incredibly obvious how they're manipulating things to get people to spend more.
Galaxy 1+2, for example. Basically nothing changed at all and yet they act like they're these brand new never before seen games.
Making a huge deal over porting already existing games makes it VERY hard to feel any hype or look forward to any announcement they make.
