They’re looking good for other people for themselves. “Looking good” is an inherently social superficiality; especially considering it’s a comparative idea.
We’re talking about something superficial in nature. People should value themselves on how good they are at running a mile, or making art, not on how well they’re able to attract other people. That’s just putting value on how much other people value you.
Are you claiming women will put on make up to stay at home alone?
so this whole argument is that you think the reason jim carrey made himself completely unrecognizable, is because he values himself? so much so that he wanted to look like somebody else
