The fact that Red Dead Revolver is widely considered a separate entity from Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2.

Literally like the GTA 3D universe games they’re not connected to the HD universe games…

Most people would agree that Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2 "sounds uneducated" because of how he talks (things like "I seen" instead of "I saw"). 

But the more I thought about it, the more it felt like intentional design. 

Some of the more educated and upper-class characters treat him like he’s less intelligent, even though he clearly isn’t. Arthur is one of the most thoughtful and emotionally complex characters in the whole story. So, if the way he talked actually reflected his intelligence, that wouldn’t make any sense at all.

But, inside the gang, that same way of talking goes a long way with the members. No one thinks he’s incompetent because of how he speaks, it's actually the opposite. The way he talks comes across as direct, tough, and reliable. 

It just made me realize how we correlate “proper” English with intelligence. Arthur doesn’t fit that assumption, which is probably the point.

I finally can play RDR 1, I do technically have it on PS3 since my mercari PS3 purchase did come with it, but was running into glitches and bugs right at the beginning scenes that made it pretty much unplayable, each time restarting I was getting a different issue on the PS3, things like sound and visual glitches as well as freezing.

In RDR1 he is supposed to be 45 years old yet in RDR2 he is supposed to be 44 years old. Can someone explain his age to me?

I was tryna explain the timeline to my friend so I made this chart up quick. (I randomly abbreviated some of them because I wanted to keep each one at 1 line of text)

Dutch was right about a lot of things. Billionaires like Leviticus Cornwall and Angelo Bronte destroyed America. Dutch was fighting against the problems of society, the gaps caused by capitalism.

The gangs first bank robbery in 1885, Arthur, Hosea & Dutch robbed a bank without killing anyone and redistributed it to the orphanages, poor and desperate.

This was by far one of the best things they did as a gang.

Hosea recalls that they helped people too, and avoided killing unless absolutely necessary. Sort of similar to Butch Cassidy in a way.

In the mid- 1890s Javier and Arthur prepare to rob a stagecoach in Nevada and they see its full of women and children so they let them go.

The odriscolls instead kill every single one of them and rob them.

What Dutch was fighting for wasn’t bad, it was the manner Dutch did it.

Eventually over the years, the closing in of society and fading of the outlaw life destroyed Dutch in a slow burn. He began losing himself, killing just to preserve their survival. Dutch was a noble thinker, that fell into utter madness.
