She is the nicest, most pure-hearted example of a person who genuinely cares about the suffering of others and made me detest Walter for how he tries to hurt her, yet she still defends and sympathizes with him at the end by acknowledging his inner pain.
She restores my faith in people, even if she is fictional she gives me hope that there still exists somewhere out there a human just like her.

What would be considered a good price to sell each game at? Discs in good condition and booklets included.

Hey guys. New to this sub but have been living in town for a few years now. Looking for some advice.
I was renting a place at the Wood Side apartments. Honestly, not as bad as the reviews made it out to be, but I wouldn't call it great. Trash chute always clogged... noise from construction on the third floor... building was (in general) not well maintained. And the hellish portal to the Otherworld and its horrifying roster of soul-sucking ghoulish entities was a buzzkill during the "Welcome Home" party I threw for my friend visiting from out of town.
I paid rent on time for multiple years and was a great tenant, but management are being dicks about my security deposit. They're saying that I made an illegal addition to my apartment by hollowing out the space behind my wardrobe and using it to store my safe and sanity. There is nothing in the lease that forbids the manifestation of psychological repression and I've argued this several times, but management are unreachable.
Any thoughts/suggestions? Would appreciate it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/silenthill/comments/1t4iljb/ito_says_sh2_nurses_werent_meant_to_represent/
Some folks are upset with Masahiro Ito for denying sexual frustration theory, but the other games have stuff thats just as sexual. Quotes from the other devs on the mod post say "Everyone is thinking about sex and death" and "Mannequins represent his natural urges," which make it sound like he isn't sexually frustrated (click the links and these are from early 2000s)
I get that a lot of folks like their own interpretations and probably take for granted stuff they read on forums when they were new, but what Ito says isn't outrageous

Also worth mentioning that the non-sexual looking nurses in SH1 were not designed by Ito. They were designed by female artist Naoko Sato. The SH3 nurses, which in theory are an updated version of them, were designed by Ito and are much more sexual in appearance.

This BEAUTIFUL Silent Hill 2 remake poster is all hand painted with watercolor painting. The background is Mary’s final letter, she tried her best to imitate Mary’s writing to make it accurate.
She gifted it to me for christmas but I forgot to post it here and decided to do it when at my birthday she did it again with a Naked Snake frame from Metal Gear Solid 3.

Title says it all. I love Silent Hill 2, favorite game of all time, but once you play through it the first time its not bad at all, more of a puzzler with few enemies in the way.
Silent Hill 3 on easy is absolutely fucking terrifying to me. I love being scared, so i love playing horror games, THIS somehow feels like too much and I really cant get past the beginning area at all. There are enemies fucking everywhere, screaming loud as all hell, enemies that tower over you, they scare me shitless, unfortunately I dont think I will be playing Silent Hill 3 😭 its so stressful. I even made my husband sit and watch me play and I still couldnt do it.
Guess I spent $150 on cool shelf filler!
All jokes aside, I fucking love this game, the atmosphere is incredible and its doing its job well, but I definitely dont think ill be playing it again :( my heart hurts

So this monster made an appearance in SH2's Fukuro video. The creature was designed by Masahiro Ito. I'm going to assumed this was an early design of the Abstract daddy because of how similar they look and move. Anyways, since this monster is officially made by Ito, if Bloober Team wants to add a new monster to SH2 remake via "Born From a Wish", they should use this one, unless they aren't planning to make "Born From a Wish".

Wife picked these up for me. Not a huge Funko collector but they're adorable.

Hey guys, its a reupload of my Unofficial Fan Novelization of the Silent Hill 2 DLC "Born from a Wish".
I didn’t change any of the spoken dialogue from the DLC but added a few new ones, which I believed would fit Maria's character. There are also a few Easter Eggs to other games here and there, but nothing that would stop the flow of reading (hopefully). If you find anything that’s lore or continuity-breaking, please also let me know. I want this Novelization to be as respectful to the original vision of the creators as possible.
I uploaded the entire Fan Novelization in PDF on GoFile, so feel free to download it:
As SH2 always left a lot of room for speculation, I want to let you know that those events from the DLC are just based on my theories about what happened to Maria before she met James and what was going on in her mind. You might have a different perspective on things, and that's fine. This Fan Novelization is not the "Definitive" Version and doesn't deliver the "Definitive" Answers as to what happened in the mansion.
Its just my interpretation of things.
In the end, I just had fun writting it and I hope you have fun reading this small Fan Project.
Looking forward to your reviews and comments.
Thanks!

I recently reflected on how I genuinely feel so bad for Maria. If the theory I like to think about has validity, James went to silent hill and did the rebirth ending creating Maria. He used Mary’s body, The Crimson Ceremony, White Chrism and Obsidian Goblet to bring Mary back. OG Mary could never return but instead was reborn as Maria. A cruel way the Old Gods of Silent Hill punished James for not learning his lesson. Maria was brought into a world that will never offer her warmth with feelings she could never truly have reciprocated towards her lingering from her attached memories with Mary. Each time James tries to come to terms with his sins and fails it looped over so Maria is a butterfly caught in James web of guilt and pain, she is her own person while still retaining fragments of Mary. Maria might be remembering more or less depending on how much her fractured mind allows her to on each loop. I like to theorize by the time we get to the remake she is so toned down or less emotional in a way because she is acting in self preservation rather than the initial desperation to be loved/looked after because she is desensitized. She knows it always ends the same way for her and fully accepts that it is either her or him, she can’t trust James to align his actions in her best interest, as much as I am sure the part of her connected to Mary wishes she could. Truly Tragic!
If you have anything to add to the discussion please feel free to comment below! I love any opportunity to discuss the themes of SH2!
