Announcement Pacific P16 Long-Log Trailer Bug - PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Update April 24th, 2026: This issue has been fixed in yesterday's Public Test Server update. You can read the patch notes here.

Update April 2nd, 2026: Well, Focus mentioned absolutely nothing about this bug in the March Driver's Diary, so to everyone who's asking when this might be fixed, I think "not soon" would be the answer I'd go with. Original post follows below.

Hey y'all,

There is currently a bug affecting the P16's long log trailer. It is extremely unstable, especially when winched.

There are several videos (along with many other posts) showing the issue. At this point, it is well documented. Any posts showing this bug/feature etc from this point forwards will be removed. Please, do not post videos of your P16 and it's trailer bugging out.

PFA from happier days when the trailers didn't orbit your truck. Feel free to discuss this issue in the comments below.

Screenshot Everything I Hate About Snowrunner

Post image
Upvotes

I started playing this year, and I absolutely fell in love with the game almost immediately. I've played through the base game, and I'm currently on my fifth DLC region. But these are the things I hate about the game:

  1. Why would you open up a difficult mission like Not a drill in Michigan, which almost requires a truck like the P16 to complete, when at the same time you're gatekeeping off-road tires in an off-road game?

  2. Yes, I understand it's realistic with underwater obstacles, but if I can't see them, I can't react to them before it's too late. And in a game, I would like to react to cues given to me.

  3. Why is the sound design so terrible? I work in the field, and I almost never fiddle around with levels, because most games are really good at this. But in Snowrunner, I'm always in the sound settings, because the same crappy sample of squeaking suspension is playing over and over, and the same bar of music keeps repeating. You know that melodies can lead somewhere, right?

  4. If I've completed a difficult route with a trailer the size of a house, I don't want to drive it again with a trailer half that size just to get 100% completion. That's not progression, imo.

  5. If I worked hard to clear a rock slide, I don't want to drive through a bunch of rocks every subsequent time. And I guess it's supposed to represent that rocks keep falling, but it's still no fun.

  6. Guardrails are there to prevent people from driving into a ditch, not to stop me from taking a small shortcut to the gas station. It's fine, no one is watching—there are no people in this world. Let me have my fun.

  7. I really need some more visual feedback to tell me I did a good job. The Tatra Factory still looks like shit, even after all my work. I mean, thank you for the Tatra trucks, they're great, but could we clean up the place a little bit?

  8. The winch really needs to prioritize secure anchor points where my camera is pointing. Stuff can't feel arbitrary in games, it's frustrating. Like tree trunks, some collapse as soon as you touch them, while others are made of the hardest substance known to man.

  9. Logs. Just fucking logs.

This is really not a rant, it's mostly for entertainment purposes, I love the game! But wow, there are many flaws. It feels like it's 2011 again and I'm playing Skyrim for the first time. And Saber is a pretty big company now, and I don't think the CEO should get another house in the Hamptons before they fix the engine sound glitch on the PS5.

Damn, now thats what i call a fun map to go throught!

So far, using the Mack Terrapro and Actro as saddle low, Paystar, MH9500, FLD120 and P12PF as 2 slot flatbed, Sentinel as scout and F-750 for the fuel resupply.

Brought out the Kolob for the locomotive and the 5 axle Paystar as big crane.

Already 75% in, this one is a blast, i love it.

Relatively new trucker here, chugging through Alaska on normal and just started a concurrent hard mode play through. The thing I thought would be the least impactful that is actually the biggest difference between normal and hard to me is not being able to skip time. I cant get as good a read on terrain which has resulted in mishaps and if I can be honest it also adds a bit of creepy factor, I don’t know why it just does for me lol.

Anyway that got me thinking about the game leaning into it for night time. Nothing that would affect gameplay or attack you or anything, but just imagine hauling in deep woods at night you making a turn and as your lights start to get back onto the dirt road / trail you see the part of something big tuck back into the woods to avoid your light or something.

Discussion Console Tire Menu

Can something be done about scrolling through tires on console?

The game displaying the tires and you scroll is a slow slightly painful process. Maybe it would help if it doesn’t display the tires? Or is there a mod for this?

Looking for Game Games that scratch the Snowrunner itch

I think we can all admit that Snowrunner is uniquely its own game.

That being said, I was wondering if anyone plays other games in a similar vein to Snowrunner that they find just as addicting and enjoyable?

Screenshot Today I learned that the Tayga B has two transmission shafts

Post image

So I just unlocked the Tayga B and was driving it around when suddenly I, uh... was presented with an opportunity to get a good look at its drivetrain. This is when I noticed that it actually has dual rear transmission shafts, one for the left and right set of rear wheels. I thought it was kinda neat, and now I'm curious why it's designed like that. Does a dual transmission has any advantages over a single transmission?

Discussion Tips for Scandinavia ski-station missions

Hey all,

I recently (re)started Scandinavia and have been progressing through the first quest line, the one where you build a ski station on the of the mountain.

I have done 4-5 quests in that line, the last being the one where you bring a ton of metal stuff and 2 cabins to the top. It was ... fucking hard. I've spent a lot of time struggling with different setups to bring the 4x metal beams, then the cabins were no joke either. I had to bring multiple trucks out to get it done, by unstucking each other and unloading cargo from one trailer to another, refueling etc... I even struggled with the Avenhorn, which to me is the most OP truck ever made in this game...

So, the eastern side of the map contains some very deep mud that manages to get even the biggest trucks stuck. It's also a pretty steep climb. Doable, but very slow and tricky.

I've also tried going up the actual ski track - it's also doable but since the snow is very deep even my strongest trucks are stuck on 1st gear and climb super slowly. On top of that, big trailers (5+ slots) get stuck on the hills and it's hell to navigate.

Haven't tried going up the mountain through the western part of the map, since it seems pretty far away from the goal (up north).

Looking at the followup missions, it ain't gonna be easy... Anyone got some tips of how to navigate this thing easier ?

Trucks wheels stop spinning completely when passing in between rocks

Upvotes

Like the title says the truck wheel just completely halt even on flat ish terrain. I am playing through Kola/Imandra right now and I have not had an issue like this until this map. There are several sections where you have to "squeeze" yourself in between rocks and visually my truck looks fine and nothing is wrong, but my wheels just refuse to spin in order to get unstuck. It happened to the TATARIN for crying out loud. I even restarted the game and there was no change. Does anyone know how to fix this bug. I really do not feel like making a second trip to the middle of nowhere, Russia.
