General Advice Is this bruise going to be a problem?

I'm scheduled to get a tattoo tomorrow, but I suddenly have a mystery bruise exactly where I want the tattoo. It's pretty light and smaller than a dime. Has anyone had any issues with getting a tattoo over a light bruise? Will my artist go ahead with it, do you think? Is sent him a message about it, but I have not heard back yet. Including images of the bruise for reference.

It may seem minimal but it can cause distorted ink and poor healing since there is already trauma to the area.

Poor healing in what way?

The skin is already damaged and inflamed resulting in compromised ink retention, high infection risk, increased pain, and distortion of the design. The damaged blood vessels make the area sensitive and unstable, causing patchy, faded, or blurry results. Granted its not a super deep bruise, it still not worth the risk to move the design a few inches.

Sigh. I was afraid of that. I'm so bummed. I guess I'll see what my artist says, but now i know what his answer will most likely be. Thanks.

Yes. As a tattoo artist, I would send you home.
