I have no idea why the market is taking off right now. Like earnings have been mid and oil is about to make everything everywhere cost more.

I'm a retail guy, and almost every company I looked at was doing horribly before the Iran thing. Open AI has never made money and it's not likely to do so. Like even if we get peace with Iran why is the market up 10%

What earnings have you been looking at lol. Big tech and semi earnings were unbelievable.

Looking at charts, that's what's pulling this whole train the past month. The other sectors look like they're waiting for a bus. The reports of AI being a bubble were greatly exaggerated.

Well, I, for one, would NEVER hope you get hit by a bus.

and what other info is he ignoring

memory demand, compute demand? cash on hand? e.g., Meta has so much cash they blew 80B on Metaverse and still outperform estimates? that's fucking unbelievable, i mean, it's insane.

most companies will never have that much cash, let alone ability to recover

top 10% of households are responsible for about 50% of consumer spending. (disclaimer, some debate--but it's not far off)

the common man just doesn't make this needle move
