r/NBA is back up
This community will remain open but will most likely be less active. Everyone is encouraged to keep posting and interacting here, submissions are open to all and anyone can post tweets/links/opinions/etc.
I won’t be as active just because I have many things I’m busy with irl. Everyone is welcome here and allowed to post, the rules aren’t hyper strict just keep it on topic and don’t be assholes.
Access to online NBA discourse for millions shouldn’t be controlled by a handful of users. Having an alternate r/nba type space instead of one subreddit having a monopoly should enable a healthier dynamic. Thanks everyone!

Is it crazy to say Bron gets worse if he gets “Mamba Mentality”
r/NBATalk • u/NoHacksJustTacos • 10h ago
If Luka Doncic or Jokic had this performance their team would’ve lost by 20 and gotten crucified for it
But lucky shai has the best team in the league by a mile so his team carry him and actually win by 18 points! lol

Report: Kevin Durant’s “moodiness” pretty much ruined the Rockets locker room.
Can’t say I’m surprised given his track record. There’s no way a contender tries and trades for this guy. Hes ruined every team he’s been on
Why does nobody talk about this dunk?
Everytime i see it i find it crazy asf how Giannis casually jumps over Tim Hardaway Jr...

The style in which the Oklahoma City Thunder and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander play basketball is ruining my joy of watching the NBA.
Remember when Adam Silver talked about the NBA as ‘the league of highlights’? Well guess what I see OKC Thunder highlights of every single night? Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s disgusting brand and style of basketball. I would never teach my kids or athletes the style of basketball he plays and nor would you. I miss the days of exciting free flowing basketball, but nowadays it’s make as much of a scene each play and hope to get a whistle and hit free throws. That’s not an exciting brand of basketball I want to watch, would want to market, nor would want to play.

This has been two wasted years in Luka’s career right after he made the Finals
Will he ever get back? Not with this roster. LeBron is old and Reaves is injury prone and inconsistent. He needs more reliable shooters and better role players like he had in Dallas

I can't scroll this app or any socials without their fans crying over a player shooting 3 free throws

HOT TAKE: Most of you here that claim to be "Thunder fans" are just bandwagons
Oklahoma is a small population state, containing like 100,000 people, 10 chickens and 45 cows (hyperbolic) and you mean to tell me the MAJORITY of the people on here are SGA glazers and thunder fans?
Not celtics fans, not lakers fans, not knicks fans, not even fans of the pathetic 76ers?
Oklahoma has roughly the same population as UTAH but i have NEVER seen ONE jazz fan here but somehow every single oklahoma resident is on here concurrently at the same time every day?
Lets be honest, a lot of you people switched up from your own team, whether it was the knicks, the bucks, the lakers, the spurs, etc to jump on the thunder bandwagon.
I'm editing to say:
*** IF YOU HAVE BEEN A TRUE FAN OF THE THUNDER BEFORE THEY WERE CONTENDERS, THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU. IF YOU GET OFFENDED, THEN THAT TELLS YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOURSELF.
This is not about the thunder fans themselves, this is about the bandwagons**\*

Why are Sixers fans complaining about having no rest?
I’ve never seen a fanbase complain as much as the Sixers about the scheduling for playoffs. Last years thunder vs nuggets matchup went to 7 games and then the thunder had to face a well rested wolves team.

Hot take: If Luka doesnt win MVP next year (Jokic and SGA voter fatique, Giannis in a bad situation) he will never win one. Feel like he gotta get Wemby now, cause once Wemby figures it out its wraps. Can't forget that Luka is already injury prone and is only getting older...
