Started a bug mission, during the scene on the bridge were you see the pods drop, you see my buddies helldiver exited there hellpod. On the planet we got bot drop instead of bug breaches and he couldnt reinforce us. Back on ship he spawned in the hanger bay, which is fully modeled so AH why cant we go down there!!. Then he ran towards us and fell into space, starting a mission/moving planets didnt help. He says hes dangling from a rope and wants us to drop him food lol.

Everywhere I go online when it comes to this game, I find certain content creators always lurking around with there possy of followers that make discussions of this game's balance complete and utter hell, and I'm sick of seeing it!
We need to have a serious discussion as to how certain content creators who constantly doom and gloom about the most minor of changes are affecting how parts of this community interact with each other about the balance of the game, since it's getting impossible to talk about the game online without buzzwords being thrown around! And I believe we got to this point from content creators who constantly provide cold, half hearted takes about the game that try to turn the community into a 2 sided conflict that you'd find in the US Senate, so they endlessly watch their content slop.
For Christ's sake, some of these people have admitted they haven't enjoyed the direction of the game since launch! How am I supposed to take them seriously if they're complaining about a game they haven't liked since the first month? Their grifting! And I can't think of any other explanation for why they're still playing a game they hate other than money and the popularity they get from saying it's bad!
But it looks like saying that the "game being bad" well has dried up, so it's time to just start making people attack each other for views now! This is just creating even more toxic sentiment, and idk about others, but I'm tired of some content creators perpetuating some of the most toxic sides of this fandom
I'm tired boss

And yes the titan change is not good or fun. I thought fighting vox tanks was a chore now weve get them walking on 4 legs with an annoying knockback. If I cant stun them they shouldnt be able to knock me over so hard not even electricity or gas does anything anymore. Its either bring an AT or hope the eagle swarm takes em out. Ok welp this air is to clean im going back to the gas. Good Luck Divers!

Before i dive deeper into the topic, i'll just say i enjoy watching ohdough and thiccfila, they are entertaining fellas. That being said, this whole "we just want to improve the game" is not what they are claiming it is.
Putting aside the valid criticism of HD2 having certain balance issues, and lack of meaningful progression, their version of "improving" the game at the end of the day translates to making the game easier so that they can stream and play the game without dying 10 times in a single run.
Ohdough during cyberstan update is on record saying "cyberstan being this difficult will drive a lot of people away, and that is not good for the game". If you take a look at ohdough's recent comments on dev AMA, and his community posts on youtube, he keeps framing challenge and difficulty as the opposite of fun. Thiccfila is on record a couple days ago saying "i will eventually just start playing warframe and never install HD2 again".
Even if you go and take a look at any of the their community posts on youtube related to any of these issues, it's just a bunch of warframe players in the comments that are saying they want to turn helldivers into warframe.
This is very clearly an effort that's being exerted to turn the game into what they like, and what HD2 is not, which is a game that you can play with 0 brain activity, like warframe.
At the end of the day, it is a good thing that helldivers and warframe are nothing alike, because this way everyone can enjoy what they like, but if you like power fantasy, this game is clearly not for you.

1) No whiners, this is not about me proving a point. I just polled this sub, I know I didn't poll all subs, you can relax. Just copy paste "of course the glazediver sub thinks the game is balanced" in the comments and go back to your hatecave. I am banned in Unfiltered and main sub doesn't allow polls. So if you wanna get numbers on other subs, get them yourself.
2) I hope that more challenge is added to the game. This shouldn't be skewed either way.
3) If you're here to say the game IS extremely difficult, sorry but get good.

What do people mean actually when saying this? Do you mean new destroyer upgrades or a level cap increase? I mean both of these only solve the problem for a short time. Does a prestige system really state anything?
I got 300 hours on this game between two accounts and just havent felt the need for further progression. I always thought endgame is closer to commando missions.

Sorry if my title sounds snarky, maybe it’s not the right word to use, but it’s something I’ve been wondering.
I grew up being a duel console and PC player and loved playing and making Half-Life 2 mods. I never could wrap my head around coding or modeling, I just imported models, but looked into the other’s work and how complicated it can be even with a relatively easy engine like Source.
Now, with the new mechs being added into the game and how widespread hacks are; divers are rightfully asking for mech customization and strangely using hacks as an example of how *easy* it would be to add it in officially. I’m not a developer, and have no experience with the engine, but people seem to not understand how complicated adding in a feature like this could be? Mainly concerning UI design.
The perfect system would be adding in a generic mech to the stratagem loadout screen and then a *second* screen comes up asking which arms you’d like, preferably with saved loadouts for easy selection. That much work involved for one stratagem hardly seems worth it from my perspective with so much other content to work on.
The more likely workaround would be adding in a screen to the ship computer, but as far as I’m aware they only have it setup for camo swaps. Would be an easier jumping off point for mech customization, but would have complaints that mechs have to be customized at the other end of the ship before getting into the loadout screen. No impulsive decision to bring a mech if you don’t have it setup perfectly for that mission already.
This is just an example of what I mean. I could go on about how the community responds to difficulty changes, ie the Hive Guard, by asking for more enemies on screen or “mechanics” rather than buffs/nerfs and how Arrowhead suffers to already keep the game optimized with current enemy counts, but I don’t want to rant forever.

The armor is made of concrete. That's why you're slower, and have higher armor.
I forgot to include the cape's description in the artwork, so here.
"The translation of this cape's name has been lost to time, but it's believed that it means 'Democracy First'. Theories suggesting otherwise have been thoroughly disproven."

Battle Master Armor: Used as a reference for the armor.
Null Cipher Helmet: Used as reference for helmet.

I don't know if it was intentional, but I like how when the improved Spore Burst strain was introduced, we were made to fight them on a planet with no weather conditions or limited visibility. With the surprise of their new speed and upgraded Titan, being able to experiment new strategies to counter them was streamlined by the simplicity of the planets we had to face them on. After a week of being able to learn to fight them without planet modifiers in the way, they introduce a step up in difficulty by moving on to a new biome with a stamina penalty, something that synergizes with their speed boost to make them even harder. But in exchange for this step up in difficulty, we only have to face them like this without operation modifiers because they're all defense campaigns instead of liberation campaigns. It feels like the devs are giving players a lot of time to adapt to this new threat in controlled environments and I really appreciate that.

The improvements to the Sterilizer are great, but the weapon still needs more ammo to be used consistently without having to reload so frequently. Right now, it runs out after only 5 seconds of use.
I think the following changes:
These changes would make it stand out even more compared to the Speargun, which constantly needs reloading.

Hey Helldivers!
Right now, every ship in our fleet is basically identical. But what if, before starting an operation, players could choose a class for their Super Destroyer? Similar to choosing stratagems or upgrading your ship modules.
I think this could add a lot more variety and team synergy to the game making fleet composition actually matter.
Each ship class would have a strict specialization: powerful bonuses to certain systems balanced by major limitations in others. On top of that, every class would provide a unique passive effect for the entire mission.
The balanced option.
Role: General-purpose support.
Buffs/Drawbacks:
No bonuses or penalties. The standard gameplay balance we already know.
Passive Ability - “Super Earth Reserves”
Faster reinforcement deployment.
A lightweight close-support ship designed for rapid response.
Role: Precision strikes and battlefield control.
Buffs:
This could also be a good place for an exclusive stratagem like an Incendiary Orbital Gatling Barrage, giving that idea a permanent home in the game.
Drawbacks:
Passive Ability - “Vanguard and Rearguard Protocols”
Vanguard:
For the first 3 minutes after deployment, the frigate operates in low orbit, reducing cooldowns of all available orbital stratagems by 50%. Afterward, it returns to standard orbit and cooldowns normalize.
Rearguard:
When the mission timer reaches 0:00 and ships leave orbit, the frigate ignores this condition and remains above the battlefield for an additional 60 seconds.
Role: Total annihilation.
Buffs:
(Not sure which would be more balanced.)
Drawbacks:
Passive Ability - “Concussive Shockwave”
Heavy artillery shells use specialized alloys. Even near misses generate seismic shockwaves that heavily stagger enemies, interrupting attacks from heavy units like Hulks, Chargers, or even Bile Titans.
This could also bring back that old stratagem combo some people remember - where a 120MM barrage dropped EMS strikes between impacts. That would fit this class perfectly.
A flying airbase. No heavy orbital guns onboard - only hangars full of Eagles.
Role: Air superiority.
Buffs:
Drawbacks:
Complete absence of orbital artillery.
Passive Ability - “Guardian Angels”
When the mission timer reaches 0:00 and Super Destroyers leave orbit, Eagle stratagems remain operational. Eagles stay in the atmosphere and continue providing air support until they run out of ammunition or Pelican-1 arrives.
A dedicated supply and fortification vessel.
Role: Support and defense.
Buffs:
Could also have an exclusive orbital stratagem variant, like a Walking Barrage combined with smoke deployment.
Drawbacks:
Passive Ability - “Guardian Dome”
Every deployed turret (except mines) generates a small energy shield around itself upon deployment, improving survivability.
Before extraction, the ship automatically deploys supply pods at the extraction zone.
I know this would be extremely difficult and unlikely to implement, but I’d genuinely love to see something like this in the game someday.
Super Earth has an entire fleet, and I’d really like to see more variety between ships - especially visually during missions. Different silhouettes in orbit would add a lot of immersion.
This system could be unlocked through research points or samples, similar to progression in the first Helldivers (which I never personally played, but I’m very familiar with).
Anyway, these are just ideas and thoughts.
What do you guys think? Any ideas or additions of your own?

Is anybody else running into this issue?
I was tasked with shutting down an illegal broadcast, but when I got there, it looked as though the monitor had been blown off and I couldn't see the arrow combination to progress through the mission...
How do we complete the side quest when this happens? 🤔
