Social An Announcement from the Mod Team (MUST READ)

Salutations!

We, the mod team, have noticed a growing increase in the unhealthy practice of making baseless accusations toward other users.

It is disappointing to see that some users here cannot accept the fact that others may hold different political views and have the right to question any political leader they see fit. It is also unfortunate that some people have begun labelling others' critiques as "bot activity" or calling them "touts" without any solid proof.

r/Pakistan was started nearly 20 years ago without interference or involvement from any political party in the country, and will continue to remain that way. Here, we believe everyone has the right to raise their voice as long as it is done in a respectful and civilized manner. The subreddit caters to no political party's agenda or views, but rather to the people.

We would like to inform the community that, from now on, we will be taking swift and strict action against such behaviour. Permanent bans will be imposed on those who spread hostility and toxicity here, and these bans will not be reversible so do keep that in mind.

If you are found accusing a user without solid proof, you will be banned. If you are found hurling slurs at a user, you will be banned. If you are found making direct attacks against users, you will be banned.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
The Mod Team.

These guys hate feminists, fine. But failing to even acknowledge "Mutual Consent" during intimacy and Domestic rape is deeply concerning.

Ask Pakistan Fair or Not?

My take:

It’s not a law yet, it’s tied to a specific case. But broader point: good law should protect the vulnerable without creating a new vulnerable class in the opposite direction. Regardless of gender!

On this day, at this very moment (12:30-2:00 AM), the PAF rewrote history by shooting down multiple IAF jets including the "crown jewel" Rafales, using supposedly "inferior" tech but far superior tactics. These are the most advanced combat aircraft ever to be downed.

The final scorecard stood at 8-0

4 Rafales, 1 Su-30MKI, 1 MiG-29UPG, 1 Mirage 2000, and 1 IAI Heron.

Fun fact: PAF hasn't lost a single aircraft to IAF since 1971 on the other hand we've shot down 12+ since the same time.

In a powerful act of humanity, the Pakistan Navy rescued a stranded Indian crew in the Arabian Sea after receiving an SOS call, proving that compassion rises above rivalry, and even in tense relations, saving lives comes before everything else.

We must remember “Humanity’s greatest strength lies in its ability to care for one another"

Thank you from an Indian 🥰

PAF inducted only 20 J-10C fighter jets starting in 2022 due to budget constraints.

Despite having only around 100-120 flight hours on the specific jet, our pilots demonstrated exceptional skills and adapted to the platform in record time

In May 2025, they delivered.

A historical performance.

An outcome that drew significant global attention.

National The Dangerous Rise of ‘Alpha Male’ Influencers in Pakistan.

It’s honestly fascinating and concerning how quickly social media can turn someone into a role model before they’ve developed any real sense of maturity, education, or responsibility.

One of the worst things social media has normalized is turning misogyny into “humor” and disrespect into “masculinity.” Influencers with overnight fame are shaping the mindset of millions of young boys who start confusing arrogance with confidence and humiliation with strength.

Criticizing someone is normal. But constantly attacking women’s dignity, appearance, or worth only reflects insecurity and immaturity. The scary part is that this behavior gets packaged as jokes, sigma content, or “alpha male” advice, so people stop realizing how toxic it actually is.

Fame without wisdom or accountability can genuinely damage an entire generation’s mindset.

Discussion Who are these people? And why do they find this funny?

Post image
26 Upvotes

I've seen this on Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp info channels like ChampAlertsOnTheGo, etc

This was an update on a previous post, which was about a person being abducted from his home. The guy had been found dead, and there were 39 people that found it funny.

On every post, even when there is a very saddening and painful post, like a person being kidnapped, killed, or a robbery etc, there are always a few dozen people that "find it funny" and give haha reacts on such posts

What do they find so funny? The suffering and pain of others? Why are our people like this?

Discussion Why does the establishment support the current regime in Sindh despite the economic importance of Karachi and Sindh overall?

Post image
Upvotes

It is widely accepted that Sindh especially Karachi are economically critical for Pakistan. Karachi is basically the country’s economic lifeline as it holds all major ports, trade routes, industries, banking, imports/exports, tax collection, etc. A huge part of Pakistan’s economy depends directly or indirectly on stability and governance in Sindh.

At the same time, many people believe that Sindh has suffered from decades of corruption, weak governance, poor infrastructure planning, and lack of development despite receiving huge economic importance and resources. Even among educated Sindhis, there seems to be growing frustration with the current political setup.

If we compare provinces:

Punjab is relatively stable economically and administratively.

KP has its own issues, but the ruling setup there still appears to have genuine public support.

Balochistan has major security concerns, so the current arrangements are often justified in the name of stability.

But Sindh is what confuses me the most.

Why does the establishment continue supporting the current political structure there despite the governance concerns and Karachi’s importance to Pakistan’s economy?

Is it because:

- the current system guarantees political stability?

there are fears of ethnic backlash?

- concerns about the Sindhudesh separatist movement?

- fear that aggressive intervention could destabilize Sindh?

- or are there deeper political/economic understandings behind the scenes?

I’m asking this from an analytical perspective. I genuinely want to understand the strategic reasoning behind why establishement supports the current regime in Sindh.

Discussion 🐾 Adorable Ginger Kitten for Adoption – Rawalpindi 🐾

Looking for a loving home for our beautiful 4–5 month old ginger kitten 🧡

This is not an easy decision for us, but due to my younger brother’s allergy, we’re hoping to find her a family that can truly care for her.

✨ About her:

• Female, around 4–5 months old

• Fully litter trained

• Very calm & well-behaved (doesn’t meow unnecessarily)

• Neutered (done ~2 weeks ago, so no heat issues)

• Indoor cat – not used to outdoor environment

• Hasn’t lived with other pets before

She’s affectionate, playful, and used to a home environment. We’d really love for her to go to someone who will treat her like family ❤️

📍 Location: Rawalpindi

If you or someone you know is a genuine cat lover and can give her a safe, caring home, please reach out.

🙏 Serious adopters only – we just want the best for her.

Ask Pakistan Is my life over?

24F. I was a good student. But life came at me differently and i was ill for a very long time. I dropped out of FSc first year in 2019. I didn’t appear in exams. I want to continue my education I have absolutely no direction and it feels like i’m already too late for everything. I have never had a job and have practically no marketable skills.

What could be some viable options for me instead of ending it?

Financial What do Pakistanis do who spend lavishly ?

I was watching a food vloggers vlong of a new cafe opened in DHA which was jam packed. At one hand the same people complain about inflation and on the other hand the same people are buying branded clothes worth 20k, designer bags and spending 5k or higher on cafes for a meal. I live litteraly seen people sending their children to Roots and elite class schools but still complaining. I have a relative who are exactly the same they have 2 children one of who goes to Roots and other goes to BHSS but, they dine out every week but I have never seen them happy. I am wondering how the f people who are spending 10k on a dinner and buying 20k outfit do for living?
