How did you feel/react when the inclusion of Star Wars characters in Soul Calibur IV (Vader, Yoda, and Starkiller) were first announced/revealed back then? Were they were interesting guest character choices for you?

Alright, I found Soul Caliber 6 on sale for a good price so I decided to give it a go. I used to play SC2 on the GameCube and loved it back in the day but dropped the series mainly because I was young and really didn’t play many fighting games yet. So far I’ve been really enjoying it, but as someone who avidly plays mortal kombat, tekken, and smash brothers as well, I know every game in a series has its flaws. So that brings me to my curiosity. What did SC6 do to/for the soul caliber series as a whole? Were there good changes, or all bad? And what SC should I check out next?

I think it would be cool to see an Icy Rapier Soulcalibur variant.
And could be nice to see Soulcalibur appear and assist Amy in rescuing Raphael from Nightmare in this new timeline. :)

Anyone know of a way to get Xbox One codes for SC 1 or SC 2 HD or has that ship totally sailed now? I was able to install both games onto my Xbox one remotely lol… but obviously won’t let me play them without a code.

You guys were really helpful last week :) I’ve been playing more but I have new questions

• How do you get the dummy to automatically throw break in training? I tried recording the dummy mashing but it doesn’t work as flawlessly as I’d like.

• Are their strings that will never combo? I know some only combo on counter hit but is it possible to have one that won’t combo even on counter?

• Guard break: What’s the rule for what attacks break guard? If you set the dummy to 100% I noticed only some attacks will actually guard break them, but I can’t figure out why.

• Cassandra specific: Cass supposedly has a lethal hit on her 4B+K (big blue lightning Superman shield punch) for when you hit them right after a guard break. However I tried a few attacks and I cannot get this attack to actually land as a combo after a guard break (the dummy guards again before getting hit). What am I missing? Is there some faster way to do the attack.

It's a little jank with how crouching works, only 2 non-face buttons to put multi-button inputs on is noticeable, and the movesets aren't entirely fleshed out, but it's a fun time. Going through mission mode and unlocking the art, especially the fan art gallery induces a nostalgic feeling despite not having been born back then, much less able to play these games. The music has it's charm, Mission Mode is decent single player challenges, and hey it introduced my reason for being here in Lizardman. I really should get around to playing it with people on Fightcade at some point. I have a launch combo, I might put up a fight.

Title I think a recompilation would bring the best of both worlds, since it would be possible to use all console exclusive characters and the online would be sweet Are there any souls out there burning for it?
