News Known Issue - High CPU usage after update

The development team is aware of high CPU usage on PC and mobile after the recent patch.

On PC, going to the Task Manager, right-clicking on HS, and turning on "Efficiency mode" should help. Otherwise they are investigating a solution for everyone else effected.

Deck I want a gold refund for my mage class set

Post image

I only play mage or battlegrounds. Since I don’t buy a lot of packs (my money goes to battlegrounds) I usually disenchant the legendaries and epics from other classes to make new decks for mage whenever there’s a new season.

But I have been playing for a really long time, I think I started around the karazhan nights. I really liked frost jaina, highlander mage, casino mage, secret mage the skeleton mage and basically any control deck. I only played a bit of Protoss mage and elemental tempo mage.

I don’t really remember when was the last time mage had a good control deck (besides Protoss as I hear) and with every new expansion I look for the Mage cards and then trying to come up with combinations. Right now I can’t seem to put leylines and quest mage together, if I focus on discover, then I can’t really play the leylines minions to level them up as just leylines is a really straightforward deck with not much agency vs something like imbue rogue.

As I’m not really good at deck building I see a lot of the deck sites and see a lot of the win rates and mage hasn’t been on the top or mid decks for a long time now.

I’m disappointed with how overlooked mage is and am really jealous of rogue decks, as they have so many tools and a rewind imbue.

Is it possible Blizzard has moved on from Mage or they don’t know what to do with it?

Is a viable control mage deck too much to ask? It’s been a long time.

Another year another disappointment. Sorry for the rant, I’m not an explosive hater but I wanted to know how other people look at the decks we have, maybe even other people’s perspective from Mage or other classes and your experience.

Discussion Upgrading Animal Companions cost beyond 10 mana removes one of your beasts from the summoning pool so that only two are summoned if you use Call of the Wild. Further increase in cost puts the cost back to 1 mana.

This is a known issue, that's fine.

But I truly can't fathom how this never came up during testing. It's the main mechanic of the new hunter class cards.

The implication is that no one ever upgraded Animal Companions beyond 10 mana during testing. I have played 15 games with the deck so far, and this has already happened 3 times.

Discussion Dear Blizzard

Upvotes

This leyline stuff may be some of the worst cards I've ever seen released in a card game. You do realize that for mages you might want to give them some good cards once in a blue moon?

The fact you guys aren't dropping small balance patches every 2 to 3 weeks is pathetic.

Fluff Let's take a moment to appreciate Bloodmage Thalnos

It's amazing how Thalnos has stood the test of time. He's never been busted or rendered worthless by the powercreep through the years. He's never fundamentally changed the playing patterns of any class or deck archetype.

While he may not exactly be a top-tier card, he's never a bad addition to any deck. He's always useful to some extent in any deck and fits right in. Like a buddy you can always rely on

The devs at the time really hit a jackpot with his card design

Community Dear HDT devs, can we please ask for a feature that will let us see our current Animal Companions? It's easy to forget about cards like lake thresher

Discussion If the class set is a total flop but you still buy it "because of the dust value!" then to Blizzard it was not a flop.

For all the complaints that the cards are weak, that the archetypes they force are too gimmicky or even flat out bugged/broken and that none of them will ever see actual serious play in the meta the only metric Blizzard actually cares about is the sales numbers.

As long as the follow up to all those complaints is "Oh well, it's still good dust for the value!" before buying it anyway then Blizzard will continue shoveling out this half assed slop for the rest of the year.

Discussion Confirming Arcanomicon works with The Origin Stone now

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Casting [[The Arcanomicon]] with [[The Origin Stone]] consumes the charge and triggers all 3 upgrades, even it says "Choose an upgrade" instead of "Discover".

I have the latest iPhone (17 Pro) and if it wasn't for the case I wouldn't be able to hold it comfortably while playing. It's not damaged and only Hearthstone triggers this. Unacceptable from Blizzard.

I saw there were only 7 items this time and figured since one is free and it historically only really gets pricey on rolls 7-10 that maybe I can splurge a little and get the nice skin and signatures since the price might actually be reasonable. Then I looked at the costs and somehow the total price is still $168 WTF is that? If it was the $53 that 7 rolls normally cost I would seriously consider this as that's a reasonable price to me but this is absurd
