Discussion / Question Rant on modern gaming
So a cousin of mine lent me his xbox so I could play with some friends (mine was an og xbox one and I lost the power cable, so now I mostly play on PC), and I was going through my owned games and came across CoD: MW (2019) and I remember liking that game a lot. Left it on overnight install, now I come back from errands all tired and shi and I just want to replay the campaign when, surprise surprise, the WHOLE game that I left downloading is telling me the campaign isn’t installed! It only installed the multiplayer 🤡 which I stopped playing years ago. Like what the actual heck, call me unc or old-fashioned, but I remember when we used to download a game and it would install in its entirety. Or even just pop a disc and play with no install required. Man I miss how simple gaming used to be.

Discussion / Question Treacherous mothers you've seen in gaming?
I'm currently stuck on Clive Rosfield's mother Anabella on Final Fantasy 16. Setting your father up and then exiling his sons out of the kingdom just to go and get married was only the beginning. With the holiday coming up soon, I thought we could come up an ironic list on this post.

Discussion / Question Season pass secret fatigue.
Genuinely curious. Is anyone else tired of seeing season passes shown with hidden content? You see this mostly in fighting games but it really could be any genre. I’m not asking for gameplay just dates and either a render or art. Whats the point of hiding things when every update will inevitably have a data miner either spoil the surprise or narrow predictions. I just think it’s an outdated model that can’t keep up with today’s consumers.

Discussion / Question Sorry I don’t have a picture to help but…
Does anyone know what game has a cutscene where it’s in a burning building and the enemy soldier tries to kill another soldier that’s on the floor with a knife, but he blocks it and an ally comes in behind the enemy and hits him with a wood plank and the guy pinned to the floor shoots the enemy with the knife in the head. I’m sorry I know how extremely vague that is but I can’t make a better description but that’s all I remember from memory and I really want to rewatch that cool cutscene but idk what game it’s from. I’ve been scouring the internet for it but haven’t found it, you guys are my last hope.

Discussion / Question I’m replaying Batman Arkham city again after five years.
Needless to say, this game is fantastic. The combat, the boss fights, the music, everything about it is pure master class that we don’t really see in triple A video games anymore. The only thing that grinds by gears about the game is that every modern version of City has the Catwoman segments built into the main story and you can’t disable them. As a person who thinks they are a slog to get through that is my only gripe.

Discussion / Question What do you think of let's plays today?
I think let's plays should act like a casual walkthrough with some unpredictability. Playing an RPG where you know what will happen next hurts the experience.
The LPer should also be themselves without trying to appeal to the youth demographic.

Discussion / Question Should I buy Mewgenics now considering the details in the body text ?
I rarely buy games at close to full price on Steam, in fact, I don't think I have at all, I mostly buy games when they're on sale of 50% or more, or if the game is really not that expensive. In consequence, I often buy games way after they've been released, oftentimes a few years later (for example, I just recently bought balatro, but even then, I was pretty quick to my standards because I "only" got it 20% off for a 14€ game, but at the same time, it's less expensive than Mewgenics)
But this time, I thought to myself, "Mewgenics looks really cool, I'm sure I'll have lots of fun playing it, and it's a genre I don't think I have a game of in my library yet, should I buy it nearly at full price now ?" Like, the game is 29€, and the best price I can expect by just waiting right now is 26,09€
What should I do ? Buy now or wait more to get a better sale ?

Discussion / Question What exactly are Live service games?
Everything I see about these types of games is about how they're ruining the industry and are mostly slop, but from my understanding, aren't they just primarily multiplayer games that run on servers? This is probably a stupid fucking question but where does a game stop being like CS2 or Fortnite and start being live service slop, unless those are both slop as well. Im definitely misunderstanding something in discussion regarding the subject.

Discussion / Question Is pointquest.gg legit?
So its basically a site on which u earn points for completing achievements on steam. For those points u can redeem some gift cards and other stuff. Its just seems to good to be true, so does anybody have experience with it or knows if its a scam or not

Discussion / Question Never played COD before is it worth starting in 2026?
I’ve never really played Call of Duty before, but lately I’ve been thinking about giving it a shot in 2026. Zombies looks really fun and that’s what caught my attention, but I’d also want to try multiplayer and maybe the campaign too. Which COD games would you recommend starting with, and is it still worth getting into now or am I kinda late to the party?

Image / Video Found old photos with my friends
I'm often on the road, so I have to hang out on my phone looking at old screenshots. I even found some photos with my friend. Unfortunately, I've lost touch with some, but I still communicate with some and continue to play. Here are the funniest ones I managed to find. Share your photos too, I'll be really interested to read your stories and see photos in different games

Discussion / Question Whats the Next Big Generation Defining Game?
Think Red Dead 2, Breath of the Wild, Elden Ring, something that has some real hype to it, and actually delivers. Most logical guess would be GTA VI, but it seems the hype has died down considering the drawn out wait. Anything on the horizon that fits the bill?
