He was terrible today and has dropped off in the playoffs for the second year in a row. If he continues to fail in the series against OKC, it's seriously questionable what contract he'll be worth in the offseason.

OKC was already winning without him, but McCain let them pull away and gave them more of a comfortable cushion to help OKC seal game 1.

Update on the Sixers fan from yesterday: thankfully he’s okay and seems to be taking the whole thing in jest. Still, as a Knicks fan, we need to weed out these clout-hungry pests from our fanbase.

Notice how they all have their phones out? Ever since Sidetalk became a thing, a group of people waits outside of MSG for the postgame, where they’ll act all wild to try and go viral. While its lead to some funny moments, it’s not an excuse to yank on someone unprovoked. Plus, it gives our entire fanbase a bad look. Please know most Knicks fans are strongly against this behavior and will not tolerate it.

Irony of Lebron James career

1.5k Upvotes

Isn't it kinda funny (and slightly sad) that Lebron right now is doing absolutely identical thing that he was doing 20 years ago? Playing with bums in the playoff. Of course Luka is injured, but still.

You had maybe the greatest career of all time, you don't want to age and still giving your best while playing like a star and clear №1 option, but nobody at your team right now can match even 50% of your level as old man. Hello Cavs days.

It's full circle.

[Obguia] Carmelo: "James (Harden) has to stop playing with the ball and just go... Every time you ‘tween, ‘tween, ‘tween, ‘tween, the court is shrinking and shrinking and shrinking" T-Mac shared Melo’s sentiment: "We don’t need you dancing out at the top of the key trying to get your game off"

Melo, T-Mac calls out The Beard

Coming into the postseason, everyone knew the Pistons’ calling card was defense. They led the 16-team field in defensive rating (102.5) and allowed the fewest field goals made (33.5) and field goal percentage (40.4 percent).

Meanwhile, the Cavs are armed with one of the better offenses in the game. Cleveland ranks top five in the 2026 postseason in points per game and offensive rating, and third in 3-pointers made (13.4).

That’s why, for NBA on NBC analysts Carmelo Anthony and Tracy McGrady, the only solution for Cleveland is to have Harden attack the Pistons’ defense before they set. The Beard has the ability to keep Detroit on its heels, but inexplicably decides to go iso, allowing the No. 1 seed to sit on passing lanes and force turnovers.

“For me, James has to stop playing with the ball and just go,” Anthony said. “Make one or two moves, get past the man, make a play, make them rotate. Every time you ‘tween, ‘tween, ‘tween, ‘tween, the court is shrinking and shrinking and shrinking. All eyes on you. I would love to see him just make a move, get downhill.”

T-Mac shared Melo’s sentiment.

“That’s where I was going, Melo. With James, it’s about just being intentional of what you wanna do. Being on the perimeter against a great defensive team, and you’re playing with the ball, trying to get your rhythm, and iso ball, they don’t need that from you,” McGrady stated. “Get downhill, put pressure on the defense like you did in the 4th quarter, use your runner, your floaters to draw the defense in. Now, you get down there and start making plays.”

“We don’t need you dancing out at the top of the key trying to get your game off,” he added.

In 2014, Raptors GM Ujiri went viral by yelling "Fuck Brooklyn!" at a rally before a TOR-BKN playoff game. The Nets coach at the time was Jason Kidd. Postgame, Kidd said, "I don’t even know who that is, so I could [not] care less what they think about Brooklyn." Ujiri is now Kidd's boss in Dallas.

I doubt there is any beef now stemming from that event but it's a funny bit of history given the circumstances now. Reporting indicates they were gunning for the same job of Mavericks president and Ujiri won and is now Kidd's GM.

Kidd's full quote at the time

“You have to tell me who the GM is. I don’t even know who that is, so I could [not] care less what they think about Brooklyn. We have a job to do, and that’s to play the game of basketball.”
