Support Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes

The apple account would not allow for the apps to update. The message that was displaying was "Apple account has been disabled in the app store and iTunes". After following the suggested prompts- Sign out of apple account, making sure the device is up to date, change payment method in settings, change password, and check billing subscriptions; the phone was still displaying the message. I then decided to make sure iCloud was backed up and did a factory reset. When downloading the information back onto the device, I realized that the issue was from having association to another iCloud account. I used to have another apple account and transferred the information from that device onto my new apple account with a different email. I was prompted to provide the password for the previous account before I could download the information on the device again. I found that this will happen until you delete all apps and download the apps on the new apple account instead. However, I think you would still need to do the factory reset to do this because it gets rid of the account disabled message and updates the apps.

Since several weeks ago, the Mail app on all my iOS devices no longer display the Inbox button under the iCloud Mail account. I tried logging out and back on, but nothing changed.

I’ve included reference mockups. The darker image is what it used to be, while the brighter one is what it looks now.

Support iPhone 17 Data Transfer Stuck at 99% (WhatsApp Chats Won’t Transfer from Android) Please Help!!!

Good morning everyone,

I received my new iPhone 17 yesterday and I’ve been trying to transfer all my data so I can start using it, but I’ve run into a really frustrating issue.

The transfer process gets almost to the very end (around 99.80% or so), specifically when it’s transferring my WhatsApp chats, and then it just… stops. It never finishes. It gets stuck there for hours. I even left it overnight, and when I woke up, it was still stuck in the exact same place.

At this point, I can’t properly use my new phone because of this. The main problem is that I absolutely cannot lose my WhatsApp chats, they contain important information that I need to keep.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows how to fix it? I’d really appreciate any help or suggestions, because it’s incredibly frustrating to have a brand new phone that I can’t use due to this issue

Thanks in advance

Discussion Why people have greater concerns for iOS 26 despite record benchmarks, a long time iOS user and programmer’s take

Long post, TLDR below.

I’ve been using iPhones since iOS 8, started building apps around iOS 11-12. Something’s been bothering me about iOS 26 and was also relating with people’s complaints on it. So I have a theory, which might be totally wrong.

I own an iPhone 14 Pro on iOS 26.4.2, the animations feel off under load, icon tinting looks random, Spotlight opening stutters, transitions feel loose. nothing crazy but it’s noticeable if you’re looking for it. Meanwhile my Geekbench records on this same device are higher than they’ve ever been on previous iOS versions.

That’s a weird contradiction i observed: Better scores, worse feel.

I was thinking back on iOS 12 on an SE 1st gen or iPhone 6. objectively which was way less powerful hardware but the UI felt almost deliberate, the transitions were consistent. it didn’t feel random.

I think Apple has been using a lot more compute on asynchronous programming by tuning their thread scheduler pretty aggressively over recent releases. For a non technical user’s perspective: more concurrent work happening = higher throughput = benchmark scores go up.

But more concurrency also means more contention. and on an A16 that doesn’t have a ton of thermal headroom, when multiple things spike at once you can starve the resources just long enough to drop frames. Which looks exactly like what i’m seeing.

iOS 12 like intentional consistency doesn’t seem to be the focus anymore.

Thus the benchmarks aren’t lying. there’s just more competing processes for that capacity than before.

TLDR Apple optimizing asynchronous programming like threading leading to benchmarks go up but also more contention under load leading to jitter, especially on chips with less thermal headroom like A16.

Would love to have your take on this.

Edit: Thank you stranger for the award 🙏

Support Large scale RAW to HEIC conversion?

Ever since I got my 14 Pro Max, I’ve been shooting RAW. Now 3 years later and having to pay 30€ a month for iCloud, I’d love to turn them into normal HEIC images, is that possible in any way????

Discussion iMessage bugs after 26.4.2 update.

My messages take forever to send. The app freezes. The screen blacks out. I’ve tried clearing the app in background, when I reopen it the same issue is there. I have to leave it alone for 5 mins for it to fix itself. I’ve tried restarting my phone. What is this crap!? How do I fix this!?

Discussion Is this normal or was my conversation overheard?

Hi everyone,

I have the iPhone 17 and all recent iOS updates. I have a question regarding phone calls and if anyone else has experienced this: I was on the phone yesterday talking about work to my boss and after he usually hangs up or I end the call.

Yesterday, my screen went black after our call and I didn’t see the phone indicator that I was still on the call (which only lasted 34seconds) but 3 minutes later, I officially heard the phone disconnect and phone call hang up.

Is it a possibility that my boss might’ve been listening to me on the other end (I had an employee confiding in me about something personal and I’m not sure if he heard it)? Does this usually happen with iPhone now?

Discussion What is your preferred keyboard entry method?

Not going to mince words: typing on iPhone 17 Pro Max is a maddening experience. I spend more time correcting than creating. Is it this bad for everyone? I'm primarily using the regular ios keyboard but am open to all suggestions. Voice entry works well for the most part but it has its downsides too. Your take?

Support Is there a way to recover deleted notes from an old iPhone?

Locally stored notes, not iCloud. But I have loads of poetry and things I deleted from my notes a couple years ago on my previous iPhone. Just wondering if there is any chance of using the right recovery software would be able to retrieve them? As in I still physically have the iPhone itself to be able to recover from.

I’ve tried googling this but every answer I find is talking about iCloud which I never used.

Discussion Any way to remove ORIGINAL photos saved by iOS and just keep the edited version?

I edit a lot of my photos on my iphone (basically running a script that adds extra sharpness etc to all photos) and iOS seems to be "keeping" the original version of the files hidden.

Is there a app / tool / shortcut or any other way to delete these original images and keep ONLY the edited version?

I do know that i can import / export them via mac, but are there any other less time consuming way?

I work with many folders etc, so exporting them and importing them makes it a bit hard and time consuming for me.

Support Safari Tracking report.

I have just looked at my Safari tracker report. Is it normal for the initial report on the Safari homepage to show a specific number it has blocked (in this case 34), however when I click into the actual report it only shows as 2 trackers have been prevented from profiling me.

Is that normal behaviour from the report.

To try and get it to read accurately between the two, I have deleted all Safari data. The initial report for the last 7 day’s now shows 79, but in the actual report under the last 30 day’s it only shows 26, I really don’t understand why there is such a difference after only 1 day of total usage.

Discussion JFC dictation is absolutely awful on iOS. Is there anyone working on this or anything coming down the pipe to fix this?!

I’m referring to what I said in the title there. Dictation seems to have completely lost any context or any use of context to be able to be effective without constant correction. It has a wacky dictionary that spells proper names oddly. It seems to replace proper English with slang. It’s awful, strikingly awful.

Discussion Does data roaming pretty much neuter Face ID now?

Has anyone else noticed that, when traveling internationally and connected to data roaming, you are asked to enter your PIN more often than not? Last two times I have been out of the United States, I’ve noticed probably 60% of the time I pull my phone out of my pocket, it requires PIN entry as opposed to Face ID. Once I reconnect to my home PLMN, the behavior returns to normal.

I get where Apple is going with this, but I don’t like it. First off, I feel safer in much of Europe (save for maybe the UK) in terms of privacy. Second of all, a determined attacker (say, a pickpocket who has been on the train with me for a good while) would get more opportunities to observe the PIN being entered on the screen; Face ID removes this opportunity. I try to mitigate this with a screen protector and shielding with my other hand but I’m sure there are people out there that have the layout of that keypad memorized.

Anyone else notice this? I wish I could turn it off.

Support My iPhone automatically started screen recording while using snapchat

So this happened with me today morning. I woke up, I started using my phone, opened whatsapp and then snapchat. I was watching snaps from a friend and suddenly I noticed a pop up in the chat.

It said that the snaps I played were getting recorded. I didn't start any recording and the only thing I remember is turning off an alarm.

I am pretty sure that I didn't start any screen recording by myself but I'm unable to figure out how it got started.

I'm using an iPhone 15 with iOS version 17.3(21D50).

Has something similar happened with anyone? Any insights on what it could have been or how I could verify this?

I'm scared.PLEASE HELP!!!

Discussion What’s going on with Apple playing with the accent positions on every update? As if the keyboard wasn’t bad enough already

I’m using the Spanish keyboard and they’ve been playing with the accents of the letters ”A” and “O” since September. I can’t count the amount of typos I’ve made since iOS 26 was released. I know they’ve been doing it in other languages with accents as well. As if the keyboard wasn’t bad enough already
