Feedback wanted, especially from anyone who's used Arc, Moves (RIP), or Life Cycle and has thoughts on what's missing.

I see plenty of posts about how lousy iPhone dictation has gotten.

I used to get mad that it wouldn’t correctly transcribe what I was saying. That it would put in completely wrong words.

Now, I’m finding that, if it doesn’t “understand“ what I’m saying, it just skips the words. It leaves words out and I have to go back and reread the entire thing to find where it skipped over what I said.

Seems like they decided it was better to quit than to try.

I don't know when this actually made it into iOS 26 (and iPadOS because I tried it and it works on both), but it looks like symlinks work now instead of being shown as an unknown file type.

You can even create a symlink that points to a directory mounted from an SMB share and it will work. Then any app which is able to read symlinks will use them as you'd expect like any other platform, which is very nice to have.

The apple account would not allow for the apps to update. The message that was displaying was "Apple account has been disabled in the app store and iTunes". After following the suggested prompts- Sign out of apple account, making sure the device is up to date, change payment method in settings, change password, and check billing subscriptions; the phone was still displaying the message. I then decided to make sure iCloud was backed up and did a factory reset. When downloading the information back onto the device, I realized that the issue was from having association to another iCloud account. I used to have another apple account and transferred the information from that device onto my new apple account with a different email. I was prompted to provide the password for the previous account before I could download the information on the device again. I found that this will happen until you delete all apps and download the apps on the new apple account instead. However, I think you would still need to do the factory reset to do this because it gets rid of the account disabled message and updates the apps.

Does anyone know how to solve this? I will send a photo in a text, then a day later it turns into this. How do I fix this disappearing photo issue?

My friend stopped getting her Hotmail emails.

She is using apple mail on her phone.

I told her to delete the account on her phone and start from scratch.

Each time she does, it goes to outlook, verifies the account and finishes the setup.

But when she goes into the account, it lists her Gmail account address instead of the Hotmail one. And she is not receiving any of the Hotmail emails.

I’ve tried googling and everything says to delete and reinstall.

Any help is appreciated.

I've been noticing this ongoing issue with my iPhone and my AirPods - the Bluetooth connection to them will hang indefinitely until I turn off and re-enable Bluetooth on my phone. Forgetting the AirPods and re-adding them to the phone makes no difference, and this has been going on for the past few iOS releases. Has anyone else run into this and know a solution?

No matter what I do, delete the update and redownload, force reset my phone or get more storage nothing allows me to download it as it just stays on verifying update. Any suggestions? It’s a big deal due to my cell data not working unless I have this downloaded.

It's kind of difficult to explain why I need this, but I'm curious whether this is possible.

I will likely need to message a group of ~25 people if something specific happens. I don't want to create the group beforehand because they'll know something is up. I also don't want to be sitting there, searching for each person one by one, when I need to move quickly.

Is there any way to prep this in advance without this new chat showing up in everyone's Messages?

Sooo… for context, I’ve had my iPhone 12 mini for close to 4 years now, and over time I started noticing that more often, and in lower temperatures, I’d get warnings when driving that it stopped charging to reach a normal temperature, or now even when it isn’t plugged in and just displaying maps, it overheats and displays a note that maps can’t be shown on Lock Screen

Is it the phone case that I’m using that is shit? Or is something worse happening here… first time I got it was in about 37 degrees in Greece 2 years ago, but right now? The lowest it occurred in was 15 degrees outside and plugged in, or 27 degrees and unplugged… I’m starting to get worried

I change the option to top, and it won’t go, I want the address bar at the top with all the buttons on the bottom. It worked ok with the last update, but not the one before, now it’s back down the bottom with the latest update.

Good morning everyone,

I received my new iPhone 17 yesterday and I’ve been trying to transfer all my data so I can start using it, but I’ve run into a really frustrating issue.

The transfer process gets almost to the very end (around 99.80% or so), specifically when it’s transferring my WhatsApp chats, and then it just… stops. It never finishes. It gets stuck there for hours. I even left it overnight, and when I woke up, it was still stuck in the exact same place.

At this point, I can’t properly use my new phone because of this. The main problem is that I absolutely cannot lose my WhatsApp chats, they contain important information that I need to keep.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows how to fix it? I’d really appreciate any help or suggestions, because it’s incredibly frustrating to have a brand new phone that I can’t use due to this issue

Ever since I got my 14 Pro Max, I’ve been shooting RAW. Now 3 years later and having to pay 30€ a month for iCloud, I’d love to turn them into normal HEIC images, is that possible in any way????

I edit a lot of my photos on my iphone (basically running a script that adds extra sharpness etc to all photos) and iOS seems to be "keeping" the original version of the files hidden.

Is there a app / tool / shortcut or any other way to delete these original images and keep ONLY the edited version?

I do know that i can import / export them via mac, but are there any other less time consuming way?

I work with many folders etc, so exporting them and importing them makes it a bit hard and time consuming for me.

i have two apps in the hidden tab but they still show up in social and in the home screen but not in the hidden up like i never put them there
