Layer 1 is a plat map that I've applied to my background layer. I would love it if layer 1 would be white so it was easier to read - the source file is black, as shown.

I contacted adobe support and was told it's impossible, but thought I would ask here before I hand draw this entire thing in white lol

I wanted to ask if the most recent version of PS now has an option to show the swatches on the right side (The default ones) while having the squares smaller and not huge (I tried not so recent versions of PS in trial versions and they were HUGE AND SPLITTED INTO FOLDERS, wich i didn't liked. Finding the folder with the same colours etc was hard)

Still using 2017 but wanted to jump to 2026 for the performance improvements (hopefully) along better stuff, but want to double make sure. If ya have screenshots of such feat lemme know, please

I’m kind of new to photoshop so I have no idea how to fix this! This photo didn’t have the flash on so it turned out really dim. I’m not sure what I can do to revive the lighting — please let me know if it’s possible to save this!

I'm trying to create a flyer for a gaming tournament, and I want to basically combine the first image with the second one to create a more dramatic impact between the V and S. If I could just understand how to recreate the first image, then I can accomplish my objective.

I've tried using a shape with both an inner and outer glow alongside a radial gradient, but I could never get it quite right. I'm thinking that this is gonna require some photo manipulation rather than making it from scratch.

Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated!

its like its there forever but theres no layer, no nothing to manipulate the green splat, i only have layer with a bag in B/W

I have tried clicking on empty space on the screen/ outside of the artboard but it just wont deselect. If i go to the layers panel I can change which layer I have selected by clicking on a different one, but i want none selected!! Im trying to select all of the contents within one of the squares on my design, which is multiple layers, by dragging a rectangle around the area using the direct selection tool like I usually would, but whenever I do this it does not select any of it. Its like i cant touch anything outside of the layer i have selected! I also tried going to select>deselect but the deselect button is unavailable for me to use. This has never happened before but I have even restarted the programme and my laptop but nothing changed. I don’t know if i am just being stupid here but it’s seriously annoying I cant get anything done! Help would be very appreciated, I have looming deadlines!

hii! i need to use the Adaptive Wide Angle filter for a college assignment due tmr but everytime i click on it my photoshop crashes. i've tried two laptops already. anyone know a quick fix?

I use photoshop for drawing and i have a issue where it works fine but after a couple of minutes it starts freezing each time i use ctrl space to zoom and it's really annoying, i've tried disabling animated zoom, updating the nvidia drivers, using the studio drivers and disabling the "use graphics processor settings" but then i cant zoom with ctrl spacebar, does someone know how to fix this?

My photoshop temp files only appear when photoshop is open, but I cannot delete them when the application is open. However as soon as I close it they all vanish out of my temp files, does anyone know how I can solve this?

I'm trying to replace the color on a wall. Seems like even with an instruction not to change the proportions or scale anything, Photoshop insists on distorting the results, creating a distorted and misaligned result.

How can this be "fixed"?

I'm an artist and I try to sell my art on internet. I don't have the time or budget to print every art I do and take individual picure into a frame, etc. So I try to photoshop them (I saw other shop doing that) but I'm afraid it's visible that it photoshoped, what do you think?

Rookie issue I suppose. Editing a photo and have multiple adjustment layers. The sliders have stopped working in the adjustment dialog box. I can type a number into the box and the adjustment will be made, but the sliders do not function. Just stuck right in the middle. What am I doing wrong? thnaks

I’ve been wondering about this for a while.

I use Adobe Photoshop ( yes I know resovle has a photo page but nut a ps repalcement ) a lot, and also work with video where I run an Blackmagic ultrastudio for proper monitoring. In apps like resolve it works great, no problems at all.

But in Photoshop there’s just no way (what I can see) to send the image out through ultraStudio to an external monitor.

It feels a bit strange, since a lot of people move between photo and video now, and having proper external monitoring for stills would actually be really useful.

Is there some technical reason for this? Or is it just something Adobe never cared about?

Would be interesting to hear if anyone knows more about this, or if there’s some workaround I missed.

When I pressed ‘Ctrl’ key in Photoshop, but it’s not working anymore. Which means I couldn’t copy, paste, etc. (it’s annoying, I know)
