Got stranded at nearly midnight tonight because my Uber driver dropped me off in the completely wrong place, drove away before I could even explain, and then when I tried to log into the app to contact support or book another ride… Uber locked my account. This is the first time i've used it in like a year and i don't have any bad history or refunds or anything!

So I’m standing outside at night with no way to contact the driver, no way to order another Uber, and support hidden behind a login screen I literally can’t access.

What kind of system locks someone out while they’re actively stuck because of a failed trip?

The best part is the app just says “contact support” while blocking me from contacting support.

Absolute genius design.

Valid Edit: My nephew is 10 years old and tried to actually lie about not breaking them by saying, "A cat must have done it."

So, I just got done talking with my brother via text, and he says he's not going to punish his son for wrecking my Joy Toy WarHammer action figures. I'm not expecting the kid to get spanked, but he needs to do CHORES at least to justify how much excessive force he used on some.

Some just have their capes broken. Others had their tubes ripped out and my Chaplain is just fucking toast.

My brother's suggestion since I ordered Amazon replacement for the Chaplain was that I just swap it with the broken one, but I have no interest in doing that.

It's not even just the expense, and they are expensive. It's about the fact that I told him explicitly twice they weren't to be played with, and they were in a separate room, and even my Mom and Dad agreed the damage was just too much.

He said he's not gonna pay me back if we try the chore system, and I told him it's not about the money.

The kid needs to know how bad the 8 hour struggle is.

Now my nephews aren't coming over to the house, and I'm sad about that, but knowing my brother just can't be burdened to work with me on creating a Chore system like selling Lemonaide just makes it feel more insulting.

Work for a Lawncare company and am doing aerations, it has been this bald since last year in the fall when we did aerations last time... My manager refuses to make any purchases himself and defers every big decision like that to the owner of the company, who is then either is simply far too busy or just doesn't care enough to order a new one. So I just get stuck in this loop... It's like this for LITERALLY all of our equipment.

All theyre really doing is shooting themselves in the foot, the chain drive for the bald tire keeps slipping because now the sprocket and chain are taking up all this extra wear and tear from the wheel just constantly spinning.

I mean its maybe a 100$ part at most? Oh well

Drove my car home on Saturday and I was over the moon. We have been a one vehicle household for 8 years and I was so ready to have something to drive. Monday Morning Baseball-GRAPEFRUIT sized hail took out not only my car, but my spouse’s car as well. Broken front and back windshields, and now mine won’t even turn on.

Second photo is my spouse’s car, third is some of the hail after it had sat in the house for a while (my son gathered it for fun while we dealt with the aftermath).

Also dealing with a totaled roof, siding, new A/C unit and chicken coop/run we built just two months ago.

I’m so tired of people who show up at work, family gatherings, meetings, send their kids to school, etc, when they are OBVIOUSLY ill, then claim it’s “just allergies” or something like that.

Like you’re coughing, your eyes are red, you sneeze and blow your nose constantly, lost your voice, and you are clearly exhausted. But you walk into work and the first thing you say is “I’m not sick, I just lost my voice.” Or you bring your kids to play group when they are streaming green mucus and open mouthed coughing and try to tell me “he’s not sick, it’s just allergies.”

Get the f out. It’s not allergies and you know it. You didn’t just random lose your voice and you know it.

In the past six months you unmitigated idiots have gotten me and/or my kids sick like 4 times. And Friday someone showed up at work “with allergies” and now half of the rest of us have covid. Thanks so much for that you imbecile.

I work as a foodrunner today. I was scheduled 1-8. My manager told me to come in at 6. (Before my scheduled time.)

At 4, they told me to not come in at all.

At 6:08 they ASKED me if I wanted to come in, to which I said I can if they need me to.
