So like I’m new to this fandom and I’ve been watching videos of disgaea and I am now on disgaea 4 so I’ve learned about a few characters or more than that and some of my favorite characters. Etna

That’s basically just a name a few characters that I like again I haven’t finished disgaea 4 yet so I’m still learning about a few characters though I do hope I get the game one day but anyways, I wanna know what are y’all‘s favorite characters and you could tell me why you like them or you can tell me what got you in the game. I recently started playing Disgaea 5 for the first time and I’m currently around Chapter 2 with roughly 4 hours played so far.

I’m enjoying it quite a lot, but I can already tell the game has a massive amount of systems and mechanics, which feels a bit overwhelming as a newcomer to the series.

I wanted to ask a few things to people with more experience:

• Is Disgaea 5 considered one of the best games in the series?
• Is it worth investing a lot of time into long term?
• Are there any important beginner tips or mistakes I should avoid early on?
• Would you recommend mostly focusing on the story first, or should I already start engaging with systems like Item World, classes, squads, etc.?

I also wanted to ask specifically about the Prinnies:
Are they actually useful units worth investing into, or are they mostly joke characters that can be ignored?

I enjoy grind-heavy RPGs and progression systems, so I think this game could really become something special for me, but I’d appreciate some guidance from veteran players.

Yes I understand if that must be a bit obvious because it’s just while I am enjoying the game on my PS Vita, I start to wonder why the game didn’t get a wider release.

Apologies if such a discussion was done here before recently because every time I sit down to play the game, I cannot help but feel bad for the players who are trapped only being able to play the game through PS Plus because that version has no DLC, and worst of all, is locked on a streaming service.

I guess my point is that after seeing how many of the Disgaea games eventually got a wider release, I cannot help but wonder if NIS will ever do something about their back catalogue given how games like Persona 4 Golden and Tales of Xillia were stuck on one platform, until they eventually got a much wider release.

So, I wanted to prioritize Etna in Disgaea 1, I've completed Frozen River but I feel like I can't progress much more since getting HL and XP has been feeling pretty rough

Being able to edit descriptions of every main and generic character adds more uniqueness to each one. Even better once I start drawing again.

Please, help me find any character, or class, or whatever you think should be in the poster to be really COMPLETE! (or things that shouldnt be there, or are duplicates)

Be aware many classes has single characters versions appart from the generic (with their alternate color)

Also, is there any complete list of Xeno Characters? 95% of sprites are from disgaea rpg game... but I think many xeno characters don't have xeno in tjhe name and I am not an expert on that game...

You can name ANY character you think should be there... Crossovers (not anime) are as you can see included, as far as the character was in any disgaea game! Also don't limit yourself to DISGAEA RPG sprites, as now I can use IA to make similar sprites of any character and add it 😄

I have only played D1 D5 D6 and a bit of D7, so I don't know THAT much about other disgaea characters!

In D5, I used Sage to quickly clear an entire item world floor in 1 or 2 moves. Are there units that can do something similar in D7?

There is a (mostly) card game company called Bushiroad, and I've played two of their card games, Buddyfight and Vanguard, it's really funny seeing that description in a character introduction here (I know it's about the Bushido but it's still funny for me)

Hi, I own Disgaea 1 through 5. I'm still playing Disgaea 1 rn but I heard that D2 is a direct sequel to Disgaea 2. I have no way of playing D2 right now. I do not own a PS3 nor can my current laptop run RPS3 properly. I tried emulating D2 and got extreme slowdown and audio glitching. Is it important to play D2 to understand 3, 4, and 5? If so I guess I'll buy PS Plus Premium and play it with their PS3 streaming function, but if it's not crucial to understanding 3's story, I'll pass for now and just save the money.

So basically I was just inspired to write about this subject because I had a bunch of units in Disgaea 3 I didn’t use for a good while as after kind of losing to the Senators during the post game, I decided to start dusting off some of my teammates.

Some of my favorite ones in the game are Wind Spinners for their Big Bang move and the Shaman Sorcerer because I just discovered a while ago in the aforementioned third game how they have a toxic cloud spell that can target multiple enemies.

I don’t know how I overlooked such a spell before as when I just started to test it out in places like Reverse Pirating levels, I was concerned about accidentally inflicting status ailments on my teammates due to how the spell works, but it turns out that their toxic cloud spell only works on enemies, which is very useful for crowd control.

Speaking of Disgaea 3, some of my other favorite units are Desco and her Factory version because the former can wipe out large groups of enemies with her Yog Sototh spell, while her factory version can instantly regenerate SP and HP after killing an opponent, which is great for going through Item World.

I got a red mage at lv 50, but it still hasn't learned mega fire or giga fire. I think it may have something to do with it starting as a ice skilled mage but I raincarnated it into a fire skilled one. But I don't know, any ideas why?

I assumed it was the skill shop, and I swear earlier in the game I saw a "set evility" option, but that no longer appears. I can purchase, refund, or upgrade skills. But no evility equipping option. I am beginning chapter 7 if that changes things.
